Hexthorpe Primary School, Doncaster (£200k+)

JP Glasby Ltd are the lead contractor for the M&E package to install new classrooms and services at the Doncaster school. Energy efficient lighting will be installed with the addition of daylight dimming. Fire alarm, CCTV, Door entry and intruder alarm systems.


Climatic conditioning is to be served by under floor heating and air conditioning units with roof mounted Solar panels to further improve energy efficiency of the building.  Lightning protection will ensure no electronic damage is suffered during thunder storms.


Working in partnership with Fre flo Mechanical Services, their MD Ian Higgins said:

Design & Build - New Police Station - Oakham, Leicestershire (£85K)

Built on the grounds of the existing Police Station to a high specification as specified by  Leicestershire Police.  JP Glasby Ltd are the lead contractor on this, in house design and build M&E package in partnership with FreFlo Mechanical Services, Sheffield. The contract includes the installation of Solar Electricity panels to be installed by our Microgeneration/Green Energy division Solargreen PV. Referring to recent contracts Fre flo MD Ian Higgins said:

SCA Timber Ltd - £800k contract attracts glowing reference from client

JP Glasby recently completed the upgrading and rewiring of warehousing and production line HV supplies, automation, small power and lighting. Work involved the design and installation of 2 x 2MVA transformers with 11KV cabling from the nearby supply authority sub-station. New LV distribution panel and production line control panels were supplied and installed. Office lighting was renewed to include the latest energy saving LED Office and Factory lighting.


The contract was carried out during full production with the supply and installation of temporary generators to ensure no loss of production for the client. We are pleased to say that work was completed on time with no loss of production and particular credit is acknowledged to one of our design engineers Garry Simmons who designed and managed the project from start to completion which was eloquently confirmed by Peter Radford saying:

Bradgate Bakery gets a lighting upgrade (£80k)

JP Glasby Ltd recently completed the installation of energy saving LED light fittings within the food production area. Work was scheduled into two phases with consideration to the client's production requirements and the strictest food hygiene standards.



Food production Line relocation (£40k)

Recently completed was the relocation of six Melton Foods production lines with the addition of two more lines, two chillers and power factor correction. Supplies and controls were installed to a strict time scale to avoid any prolonged shut down periods.



Extra care Residential Complex, Long Eaton

A 77 unit residential complex combining extra care & dementia care facilities for Housing 21 residents within the Derbyshire County Council borough.

The complex is to have a full design and installation of warden call systems dedicated to the different types of care provided, lightning protection, fire alarm, TV/Sky+ signal distribution to all residential properties and living areas, induction loop systems, metered electrical supplies to units, sensor controlled energy efficient lighting, small power and lighting, voice/data installations for staff and residents, and external lighting to the car park and pathways around the complex.

Works are to be completed within a 38 week period.


Residential Complex, Stocksbridge

A 55 unit residential complex providing facilities for Sanctuary Housing residents in Stocksbridge. Each residential unit is accessed via communal corridors with sensor controlled energy efficient lighting, cleaners sockets and main fire alarm system.

Residential units include small power & lighting, fire alarms, telephone, TV/Sky+ signal distribution, access control system linked to the complex main entrance and full lightning protection to the building(s). Each unit to have Individual metered electrical supplies.
